German Police Union Warns of Escalating Threats Amid Iran War.

The German Police Union (GdP) has warned that the war in Iran has raised the threat level for German police officers. Chairman Jochen Kopelke told the “Rheinische Post” on Tuesday that police serving on overseas missions, at German embassies, and within Germany itself must now be prepared for increased danger. He said officers are on standby and ready. Kopelke further explained that international conflicts directly affect German policing and influence everyday activities in the field. He added that the Middle‑East escalation will be felt both online and on the street, and that active intervention by the German federal government could lead to a sharp rise in risks across Europe.
