Germany Extends Rosneft Sanctions & Asset Control to 2026

The German government has extended the trusteeship over Rosneft Deutschland GmbH (RDG) and RN Refining & Marketing GmbH (RNRM) until March 10, 2026. This decision, announced by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy on Monday, is based on the Energy Security Law.

The extension maintains control of Rosneft Deutschland and its respective stakes in the PCK Schwedt, Miro (Karlsruhe) and Bayernoil (Vohburg) refineries under the authority of the Federal Network Agency.

Rosneft Deutschland consolidates approximately twelve percent of Germany’s crude oil refining capacity and is among the largest oil processing companies in the nation. The ministry stated that extending the trusteeship further guarantees the security of energy supply, particularly concerning the provision to the states of Berlin and Brandenburg and safeguards the location of Schwedt.
