The Federal Prosecutor’s Office conducted renewed searches on Tuesday morning at 16 sites across several German states-Mecklenburg‑Western Pomerania, North Rhine‑Westphalia, Saxony, Saxony‑Anhalt, and Schleswig‑Holstein-targeting ten alleged suspects. The Karlsruhe office reported that the suspects are accused of belonging to the far‑right association “Letzte Verteidigungswelle” supposedly formed between April and December 2024. One suspect is additionally alleged to hold a leadership position within the group. Two of the suspects are also under investigation for dangerous bodily harm, allegedly directed at people who are alleged pedophiles.
Several of the alleged members are already before the courts. No new arrests took place on Tuesday. According to officials, the searches were intended to substantiate the existing suspicions and gather evidence. Officers from the Federal Criminal Police Office and local police forces carried out the operations.
