A new online portal designed to gather feedback from citizens regarding bureaucratic processes is set to launch in Germany by the end of the year, according to Digital and Modernisation Minister Karsten Wildberger. The initiative, previously indicated by State Secretary Philipp Amthor, forms part of a broader modernization agenda for government services.
The portal will serve as a platform for citizens to report concerns and perceived shortcomings within bureaucratic systems, while also offering suggestions for improvement. Minister Wildberger confirmed he has already tested a second version of the portal and emphasized ongoing efforts to enhance user-friendliness, potentially incorporating artificial intelligence to aid in the process.
The core objective, according to Wildberger, is to leverage citizen input to inform solutions and identify areas of frustration within existing processes. While acknowledging that not all submissions can be addressed immediately, the minister stressed a commitment to prioritization and transparent communication regarding the progress of proposed changes. Citizens will be provided with updates on the status of their feedback and how it influences ongoing modernization efforts. The platform aims to foster proactive engagement from the public, contributing to more efficient and effective governance.
