The Left has demanded that the federal government cease its “legal grind” and immediately implement all previously promised entries. As of 31 December 2025, the administrative courts are hearing numerous lawsuits against denied entry decisions. Since May 2021, the government reports that a total of 37,652 Afghan individuals have arrived in Germany through the various admission programmes.
