Germany Shatters Heat Records Again: 41.5°C Confirms Extreme Temperature Trend

The all-time heat record in Germany that was set the day before was surpassed again, and multiple times, yesterday. At the Möckern-Drewitz weather station in Saxony-Anhalt, a temperature of 41.5 degrees Celsius was recorded on Saturday afternoon around 4:20 PM. Just earlier, 41.4 degrees Celsius was registered in Burbach, Saarland (Saarbrücken), which is also higher than the 41.3 degrees recorded at the same station the previous day. Prior to this, the recognized national heat records in Germany were 41.2 degrees, measured on July 25, 2019, in both Duisburg-Baerl and Tönisvorst, and these values stood for nearly seven years.
