In Germany, November 2025 saw roughly 28,400 people injured in road‑traffic crashes – a 1 % rise compared with the same month last year, according to preliminary figures released by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) on Thursday.
Traffic deaths climbed by 16 to 211, bringing the fatality total up by 16 from the prior year.
Across the country, police logged about 224,600 road‐traffic accidents in November, which represents an increase of 2 % or 4,700 incidents over last year’s figure.
Looking at the first eleven months of the year, authorities recorded 2.29 million road‑traffic accidents, a 1 % drop (or 17,700 fewer incidents) than the 2015‑2024 period. Among these, 271,400 collisions involved personal injury, resulting in 2,582 fatalities. This represents an increase of 27 deaths from the equivalent period in the previous year, while the number of injury‑incidents remained roughly unchanged.
In contrast, the total number of people injured in traffic crashes fell by 1 % – 2,500 fewer – to 338,000 over the same timeframe.
