American singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams has claimed the top spot on the German album charts with her track “Daughter from hell,” according to a report from GfK released Friday. This marks the first time the US artist has reached number one, succeeding “The secret of us,” which debuted at position four in 2024 and has remained in the charts for over 100 weeks.
In the race for the top positions, Dardan & Azet highlighted their follow-up to their successful album, “Eurosport,” by releasing “Eurosport 2.” They currently hold the second rank. The Rolling Stones, who previously occupied the top spot with “Foreign tongues,” slipped down to position three. Other acts making impressions in the Top 20 include Motionless In White (“Decades,” at number seven), Blank & Jones (“Relax Edition 16,” at number twelve), and New Order (“The Best Of & The Rest Of New Order,” at number 14). Additionally, Drunken Masters & Ikkimel entered the rankings with “Ikkimel die Geile EP” at number 18.
The singles chart retains its top triumvirate from the previous week: the hit track “Dai Dai” by Shakira & Burna Boy leads the way, followed by “Killy Manjaro” by Summer Cem & Billa Joe, and “Gut Genug” by Kitschkrieg, Blumengarten & Shirin David. Danger Dan has emerged as one of the biggest new entrants in the Top 100 with “Keine Angst,” following recent discussions regarding a canceled appearance on ZDF, although he narrowly missed out on the seventh spot to Pashanim, whose song “Augenblick” (at number six) holds the highest new entry ranking. Capital Bra & Samra, alongside Eddin, are also making waves across the Top 100; while “Sonne über Berlin” is already at number 14, “Meine Welt” is charting at number 21.
GfK Entertainment determines the official German charts on behalf of the German Music Industry Association, covering 90 percent of all music sales.
