Iran’s Former President Ahmadinejad Killed in Tehran Airstrike, State Media Report

Former Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was reportedly killed in a U.S. and Israeli airstrike on Tehran, state‑run Iranian media said on Sunday, although the full details are still unclear. Earlier, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei had been killed in the same attacks, and other high‑ranking officials lost their lives as well-Defence Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh and Revolutionary Guard commander General Mohammad Pakpour.

Iran’s retaliatory strikes continued. In a rocket barrage over Beit Shemesh, a town in central Israel, at least eight people died on Sunday, and nearly two dozen more were injured in the attack on the Israeli city located west of Jerusalem.
