A ceasefire has come into effect in Lebanon, according to multiple media outlets. Despite this agreement, Israel continued its attacks on Lebanon last Friday, leading Iran to subsequently close the Strait of Hormuz. These attacks were justified by Israel following a nighttime assault by Hezbollah, which the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated killed four Israeli soldiers. Israel’s Minister of Public Security, on the platform X, had previously declared that all of Lebanon needed to be consumed by flames.
Meanwhile, US television station CNN, citing an Israeli source, reports that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is currently planning no further retaliatory measures against Hezbollah. However, the Lebanese online medium Naharnet noted that a representative within the security zone stated that Israel would remain there and would retaliate if attacked.
