Kaiserslautern Dominates Münster in 2. Bundesliga Opener

The 1. FC Kaiserslautern secured a commanding 4-1 victory over Preußen Münster to kick off the sixth matchday of the 2. Bundesliga. Kaiserslautern started the match with considerable energy, quickly taking the lead through Ivan Prtajin in the 7th minute. Prtajin proved to be the standout performer, netting a hat-trick and driving his team’s dominance. Naatan Skyttä extended the lead to 2-0 in the 17th minute, with Prtajin adding his second goal in the 24th minute.

Despite efforts from Münster to mount a comeback in the second half, Kaiserslautern’s defense largely remained resolute. A substitute appearance from Oscar Vilhelmsson saw Münster briefly reduce the deficit, scoring in the 50th minute. However, Prtajin swiftly restored Kaiserslautern’s three-goal advantage with his third goal in the 64th minute, effectively sealing the result.

The victory propels Kaiserslautern temporarily to the top of the league table, while Münster slips to tenth place. Kaiserslautern next faces Paderborn next Saturday, while Münster is scheduled to play against Braunschweig the following day.

In a parallel fixture held on Friday evening, Arminia Bielefeld lost 3-1 to SpVgg Greuther Fürth.
