On the final day of the 24th round of Germany’s 2. Bundesliga, Karlsruher SC secured a 3-1 victory over 1. FC Magdeburg. Ben Farhat opened the scoring in the 20th minute, capitalising on a poor pass from Jean Hugonet and slotting the ball into the left corner from 14 m. He added a second goal in the 53rd minute, converting a cross from Dzenis Burnic into the right corner. Magdeburg clawed back in the 66th minute when Dariusz Stalmach netted a late equaliser from a combo‑pass with Baris Atik. The hosts regained the advantage again in the 87th minute through Marvin Wanitzek, who chased a rebound from keeper Dominik Reimann and slipped the ball into the net. The result sent Magdeburg down to the penultimate spot in the table, while KSC moved up to eighth.
Magdeburg will face Elversberg on Friday, and Karlsruher will confront Dynamo Dresden the following Sunday. In the other Sunday afternoon clashes, Eintracht Braunschweig fell 1-2 to Preußen Münster, and Hertha BSC defeated 1. FC Nürnberg 2-1.
