Leipzig Book Fair Nears New Attendance Record, 105,000 Visitors in First Two Days

The Leipzig Book Fair is on track to set a new visitor record. Organisers announced on Friday that 105,000 people had already attended the opening weekend’s first two days. In the previous year, Thursday and Friday drew 96,000 visitors-a drop of about 9,000. The weekend typically attracts even larger crowds; the previous year alone saw roughly 200,000 visitors on Saturday and Sunday. Back then the fair had fully recovered from the pandemic slump and had already set a new record. Today, 2,044 exhibitors are drawing book lovers to Leipzig.
