Nina Warken, the new head of the Chancellery, has appointed Georg Milde, who previously led a department within the Federal Ministry of Health, to serve as Chief of Staff in the Chancellery. Milde will be responsible for various sections, including Political Planning, the Leadership Staff, and the Minister’s Office, an appointed position officially titled “Director Office Head BK” in the Chancellery’s organizational chart. Meanwhile, Stefan Schmidt, the previous director of the “Office Head BK,” is moving into the role of the new Group Director for the Union faction. This change was communicated to the faction members internally by the new Group Chairman, Thorsten Frei. Schmidt’s predecessor, Tobias Pohl, will take over as the head of the department at the Federal Ministry of Health.
