Police in the North Rhine-Westphalia region of Germany are investigating the deaths of a woman and a young child whose bodies were discovered near Holsterhausen, in the northern Ruhr area, on Sunday morning.
Officers were alerted to the scene at approximately 6:00 AM by members of the public who located the two victims along a woodland path, according to a joint statement released by the Essen Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Recklinghausen Police Headquarters.
