The latest charts reveal a dynamic shift in the German music landscape, with Nina Chuba claiming the top spot on the album charts with her release, “Ich lieb mich, ich lieb mich nicht”. Remarkably, Chuba simultaneously secures eight tracks within the single charts, including “Fucked Up” “Wenn das Liebe ist” “3 Uhr Nachts” and the newly entered “Malediven.
Following closely behind is The BossHoss’s album, “Back To The Boots” marking the band’s 20th-anniversary celebration. Further down the rankings, The Donots’ acoustic album, “Schwert aus Holz” takes third place, trailed by Azet’s rap release, “Playboys im AMG”. The hard rock sounds of Paradise Lost (“Ascension”), Nine Inch Nails (“Tron: Ares” soundtrack) and Biffy Clyro (“Futique”) also secure positions within the top ten. Austrian singer-songwriter Alexander Eder rounds out the top ten with “Quer durch die Bank.
In the single charts, “Golden” remains the dominant track, extending its reign with an impressive eight weeks at number one, equalling the longevity of Huntr/X and Alex Warren’s “Ordinary” which currently holds the runner-up position. Pashanim’s “Erstersommerohnedich” currently ranks in third place.
A potential frontrunner for the coveted “Wiesn-Hit 2025” has emerged – Oimara’s catchy track “Wackelkontakt” which saw success throughout the ski, carnival and Ballermann seasons. It has leaped from 15th to 10th place. New entries in the singles chart include hip-hop artists Lacazette & Bushido (“CCN”) and Sosa La M (“Häagen Dazs”).
The official German charts are compiled by GfK Entertainment on behalf of the Federal Association of the Music Industry (BVMI) and are reported to account for approximately 90% of all music sales in Germany.
