Lando Norris will start from pole position at the Austrian Grand Prix on Sunday, after setting the fastest time in Saturday’s qualifying session. The British driver edged out Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and his McLaren teammate, Oscar Piastri, for the coveted front spot on the grid.
Following closely behind were Lewis Hamilton, also driving for Ferrari and George Russell of Mercedes. Liam Lawson, piloting a Racing Bulls car, secured a strong qualifying result, positioning him seventh on the starting grid. World Champion Max Verstappen (Red Bull) will begin the race from eighth, followed by Haas driver Gabriel Bortoleto and Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli. Alpine’s Pierre Gasly rounded out the top ten.
The qualifying session proved challenging for German driver Nico Hülkenberg of Alfa Romeo, who will start the race from the back of the grid in 20th and final position. The race is anticipated to be a thrilling contest, with the top drivers closely matched and potential for strategic battles throughout the field.
