The “NSU Watch” initiative is calling for further clarification regarding the National Socialist Underground (NSU) case. Caro Keller, a spokesperson for the initiative, told the Frankfurter Rundschau that despite the passage of 25 years since the first NSU murder of Enver Simsek, the entire NSU complex remains incompletely resolved.
Keller emphasized that the victim’s family, all those affected by the NSU case and a significant portion of the public continue to demand answers. She further stated that the available knowledge has not yet led to sufficient consequences. Keller called for continued action at all levels-within politics, law enforcement and society-to dismantle the groundwork supporting right-wing extremism. This includes suppressing right-wing ideologies, disarming and dissolving right-wing networks and ensuring accountability.
