Young German forward Paul Wanner has completed a permanent move from FC Bayern Munich to Dutch side PSV Eindhoven, the Bundesliga champions announced Friday. The 19-year-old joined Bayern’s youth setup in 2018 and has now signed a long-term contract with the Eredivisie club.
Sporting director Max Eberl stated, “Paul Wanner arrived at the FC Bayern Campus at the age of 13, continuously developed his skills, became a junior national player and recommended himself for the professional ranks. We wish him all the best for the future.
Wanner progressed through all of Bayern’s youth teams after arriving from FV Ravensburg in the 2018/19 season. He made eight appearances for the senior Bayern squad, celebrating two German championship titles. The forward spent the last two seasons on loan at SV Elversberg and 1. FC Heidenheim, amassing 28 and 41 appearances respectively and scoring six goals in each campaign. The move to PSV Eindhoven offers Wanner the opportunity to further develop his career and gain consistent playing time.
