The Potsdam public prosecutor’s office has filed charges against a pediatrician regarding multiple cases of abuse. According to the authority, the accused is facing charges of violating the sexual self-determination of minors in a total of 130 instances. These charges include severe sexual abuse of children and rape.
The commission of these alleged crimes supposedly took place between December 1, 2013, and November 5, 2025. The majority of the incidents are reported to have occurred while the doctor was practicing in Rathenow and Nauen. Currently, the accused is being held in precautionary detention related to the investigation.
The next procedural step involves the Potsdam Regional Court deciding whether to open the main criminal proceedings.
