SC Preußen Münster announced on Monday that head coach Alexander Ende and assistant coach Zlatko Muhovic have been dismissed. The decision followed a heavy 0‑6 loss to Dynamo Dresden, a setback that dented the club’s fight for league survival.
Sporting director Ole Kittner said that Ende was an “excellent coach with a distinctive game plan” and that he had always worked at eye level with everyone in the club, thanks to his open and honest manner. Kittner added that Muhovic had fully identified with his role as well. However, the leadership felt that the sporting progress over recent weeks and months should have been evaluated, and they decided to take another direction.
Kittner explained that the goal with Ende had been a “clear, long‑term playing concept” which could no longer be translated into the necessary quality on the pitch in the current situation. U23 coach Kieran Schulze‑Marmeling will now prepare the squad for the upcoming home match against 1. FC Magdeburg.
