Germany’s annual rate of consumer price inflation has remained stable in July 2025, according to data released Thursday by the Federal Statistical Office.

The inflation rate is projected to remain at 2.0 percent, mirroring the figure recorded in the previous month. Consumer prices are expected to have risen by 0.3 percent compared to the previous month.

A more significant indicator, the inflation rate excluding food and energy – frequently referred to as core inflation – is anticipated to remain at 2.7 percent. This figure continues to exceed the overall inflation rate.

Energy prices registered another decrease compared to the same period last year, down 3.4 percent. Food prices increased by 2.2 percent year-on-year. Prices for services saw a rise of 3.1 percent.
