A tragic traffic accident in Kürten, near Bergisch-Gladbach, has claimed the lives of four young people early Saturday morning.
According to police reports cited by West German Broadcasting (WDR), a 16-year-old male was driving a vehicle belonging to his parents when the incident occurred. Authorities state the car left the roadway while navigating a curve and collided with a tree.
Initial investigations suggest the 16-year-old took the car without his parents’ knowledge or permission. The driver sustained serious injuries in the crash.
The victims have been identified as two 19-year-old males and two females aged 14 and 16. The precise circumstances leading to the accident are currently under investigation by authorities.
