AS Roma secured a 2-0 victory over VfB Stuttgart at the Stadio Olimpico in the Europa League on the seventh day of the group stage. The win was built on the team’s disciplined efficiency rather than sheer dominance.
Niccolò Pisilli opened the scorebook in the 40th minute. A precise through‑pass from midfield allowed him to cut inside in the box and out‑maneuver Stuttgart’s goalkeeper Alexander Nübel with a composed finish. Although Stuttgart controlled more of the play and created several good chances, the German side failed to convert them.
Even after the half‑time break, Stuttgart kept the pressure on. Their attacks were repeatedly denied by Roma’s goalkeeper Mile Svilar and by the team’s own lack of finishing. As the match neared its end, Stuttgart launched an all‑out attack, but Roma responded with a quick counter‑attack. In the third minute of stoppage time, Pisilli struck again, capping a flawless performance that sealed the home victory.
