Serge Gnabry Extends Bayern Munich Contract Through June 2028, Cementing His Role as a Club Stalwart

Bayern Munich and German international Serge Gnabry announced on Thursday that the player’s contract has been extended until 30 June 2028.

“We’re in a period of growth at Bayern, and Serge Gnabry has become an indispensable pillar of the squad – on the pitch and in the locker room he is crucial” said the club’s sporting director Max Eberl.

Gnabry, speaking to the media, said that the reasons for the extension were the team, the coaching staff, the whole club, the fans, the city and the surrounding environment. “I feel very comfortable at Bayern” he added. “I never imagined that, when I first joined Bayern, I would be here for more than ten years after this contract ends”.

Born in Stuttgart, Gnabry came to Munich in 2017 after spells with Arsenal and Werder Bremen. He spent his first season on loan at Hoffenheim before returning to Bayern, where he has since played 311 official matches, scoring 100 goals and providing 69 assists.
