Following the fatal shootings that occurred at a techno party in Aarau, Switzerland, authorities have arrested a suspect. The police announced on Monday that the individual is a 43-year-old Swiss citizen. He was stopped during a manhunt shortly before 1 AM last night and subsequently arrested under urgent suspicion of committing the crime.
The illegal rave event, titled “Aarau Rave VOL. 7,” took place at the Schachen racecourse in Aarau on the night leading up to Sunday. During the incident, a 22-year-old woman was killed, and several people, aged between 24 and 27, sustained serious injuries.
The investigation into the precise sequence of events, background, and potential motives remains active. At present, authorities are proceeding under the assumption that the crime was carried out by a single perpetrator.
