In a post on his Truth Social platform on Friday, Trump stated his belief that the recently published declaration from Hamas indicates a willingness to pursue a permanent peace agreement. He specifically called on Israel to “immediately stop the bombing of Gaza” to facilitate the safe and swift release of hostages.
The former president added that the current situation presents significant risks and that discussions concerning the necessary details are already underway. He emphasized that the potential agreement extends beyond Gaza, aiming for a long-awaited peace in the Middle East.
Hamas has declared its willingness to release all hostages, while simultaneously requesting further negotiations to proceed.
