Trump Demands Iran Pay War Victims Compensation for Deaths and Conflict Damages

President Donald Trump stated that Iran’s demand for compensation for war casualties is “an interesting idea,” but he is now insisting that Iran also pay compensation. Trump specified that the payment should be for “all the people they [Iran] have killed and severely injured with their explosives on the roadside and in numerous conflicts, for which they are infamous.” The US President also pointed to past conflicts and terrorist attacks in which Iran is alleged to have been involved. Additionally, he asserted that compensation should be provided to the families of the “hundreds of thousands of innocent demonstrators that Iran has killed over the last 50 years,” not to mention the 52,000 people killed in the last five months. Trump confirmed that he had given his representatives “instructions to bring this decisively into all future negotiations.”
