Trump Extends Iran Deadline by 10 Days, Claims Negotiations Are “Going Very Well”

Donald Trump extended his ultimatum to Iran on Thursday. “At the request of the Iranian government, I wish to announce that I am extending the deadline for the destruction of Iran’s energy facilities by ten days to Monday, April 6 2026, at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time” he said on his personal platform. “The talks continue and are proceeding very well, despite the false claims of fake‑news media and others”.

According to real‑estate investor and U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff, Iran has received a 15‑point peace plan routed through Pakistan. State Iranian television reports that Iran has rejected the plan, which the United States says is intended to help end the conflict it began with Israel.
