Trump Proclaims Death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei, Orders Ongoing Airstrikes

President Donald Trump announced the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader on his Truth Social platform, calling him “one of the most malevolent figures in history” and saying the demise represents justice not only for the Iranian people but for all U.S. citizens and others worldwide who have suffered at Khamenei’s hands. He claimed Khamenei could not escape U.S. intelligence or advanced surveillance, and that, in close cooperation with Israel, no power could prevent his fall or that of his associates. Trump said the current situation presents the greatest opportunity for Iranians to reclaim their nation, noting reports that many members of the Revolutionary Guard, the military and other security forces are unwilling to continue fighting and are demanding impunity. He warned that those demanding clemency would eventually face death, hoping the Guard and police would unite peacefully with patriotic Iranians to restore the country’s stature. Trump also announced additional air strikes, stating that heavy, precise bombardments would continue throughout the week-or longer if needed-to achieve peace in the Middle East and worldwide.
