He said the United States had launched large-scale military operations in Iran to protect American citizens from the perceived threats posed by the regime. The president declared that the United States was determined to destroy Iran’s rockets and navy to end Tehran’s destabilization of the region, and he reiterated that Iran must never acquire nuclear weapons. Meanwhile, it appears that Iran has launched a counterattack. The Israeli military reports missiles fired from Iran toward Israel, and residents in affected areas were urged to seek shelter in safe zones.
