Two people were killed in a severe bus accident on the Autobahn 96 near Buchloe in Upper Bavaria on Sunday. According to police reports, several other individuals sustained injuries.
The vehicle involved in the incident was reported to be a tour bus belonging to a company. The bus was reportedly carrying a traveling group from the Philippines. It was stated that, without being involved with another vehicle, the bus drove off the road and crashed into a ditch next to the highway. At the time of the accident, approximately 40 to 50 people were on board.
Initial reports indicate that about 25 people suffered minor injuries, while two individuals died at the scene. Furthermore, one other person remains in critical condition. The highway stretch heading towards Munich was closed, and emergency vehicles were deployed between the Buchloe-Ost and Landsberg am Lech-West junctions. The closure was expected to last until 11 o’clock.
