Overnight into Sunday, Ukraine experienced what officials in Kyiv are describing as the most intense drone attacks since the beginning of the conflict. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that over 800 drones were deployed, alongside 13 missiles, including four ballistic projectiles.
Zelenskyy stated that residential buildings in Kyiv sustained significant damage, with multiple floors collapsing in one building between the fourth and eighth stories. Currently, two fatalities have been confirmed, including a child. A government building also suffered damage, with a fire erupting in the upper floors.
Reports of additional attacks were received from Saporizhzhia, Odessa and the regions of Sumy and Chernihiv. The extent of the damage and casualties in these locations is still being assessed.
