Union Ahead of AfD in Final Baden‑Württemberg Pre‑Election Poll; SPD Slips to 15%

Nearing the state election in Baden-Württemberg scheduled for this Sunday, the national survey still shows the CDU‑CSU coalition ahead of the AfD in overall voter sentiment.

In the latest “Sunday Trend” compiled by the polling institute Insa for “Bild am Sonntag”, the CDU‑CSU remains at 26 % of the vote share, while the AfD holds steady at 25 %. The SPD has slipped one point, sitting at 15 %.

Both the Left party and the Free Democratic Party each gained a point compared to the previous week, bringing the Left to 11 % and the FDP to 4 %. The Greens and the BSW keep their shares unchanged at 11 % and 3 %, respectively. Other parties collectively command 5 %, down one point.

Insa surveyed 1,200 respondents between 2 and 6 March.
