VfB Stuttgart has confirmed the transfer of attacking midfielder Enzo Millot to Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli SFC. The club announced the move on Saturday evening, stating that the deal had been in development for some time. Reports indicate a transfer fee of nearly 30 million euros for the 22-year-old.
During his time with Stuttgart, the French U21 international featured in 113 competitive matches, scoring 22 goals and providing 21 assists.
VfB Sporting Director Fabian Wohlgemuth praised Millot’s contributions, stating, “Enzo significantly contributed to our positive sporting development in recent years. He was instrumental in achieving successful relegation and played a major role in winning the DFB-Pokal in Berlin.
VfB Chief Executive Alexander Wehrle acknowledged the transfer with mixed emotions, commenting, “From a sporting perspective, we are losing an exceptional footballer who has taken a special path with VfB in recent years. At the same time, the economic conditions of this transfer are exceptionally good, even when compared to similar transfers in our club’s history.
Millot himself expressed his gratitude for his time at Stuttgart, saying, “I will always remember my time at VfB fondly. I have developed as a player and as a person and we had a successful time as a team”.
