European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen intends to demonstrate support for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during his scheduled visit to the White House on Monday.

Responding to a request from President Zelenskyy, von der Leyen announced on Sunday her participation in the meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump and other European leaders at the White House. Prior to this, she is set to receive President Zelenskyy in Brussels this afternoon, where they will jointly participate in a video conference of the so-called “Coalition of the Willing.

U.S. media reports previously indicated the potential attendance of several European heads of state and government at President Trump’s meeting with President Zelenskyy in the Oval Office, though names were not initially disclosed. U.S. Vice President JD Vance is also expected to be present, although the final attendee list remains subject to confirmation. Discussions are reportedly expected to encompass the possibility of a trilateral summit involving President Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
