The leader of the BSW party, Sahra Wagenknecht, has clarified that her planned demonstration this Saturday, themed “Stop the Genocide in Gaza” is not intended as a protest against Israel. Wagenknecht affirmed that the party unequivocally condemns the Hamas massacre and the taking of hostages. However, she argued that these actions do not justify the ongoing events in the Gaza Strip, where she stated millions of people are being targeted with bombing, killings and displacement. She characterized the military operations as “a completely barbaric form of warfare”.
