A recent survey indicates growing public sentiment for a swift change in leadership at Germany’s national railway company, Deutsche Bahn (DB). Conducted by the polling institute Insa for “Bild am Sonntag” the survey revealed that 50% of respondents believe a change in the DB board should occur as soon as possible. Ten percent of those surveyed expressed opposition to such a move, while 23% stated they had no particular preference.
The findings reflect a broader decline in public satisfaction with Deutsche Bahn’s performance. A significant 69% of respondents indicated that the quality of services provided by DB has worsened over the past five years. Conversely, 16% felt the railway company had improved.
The survey, which polled 1,002 individuals between July 31st and August 01, 2025, provides a snapshot of public opinion regarding DB’s direction and potential leadership changes. The results highlight a growing frustration amongst the German population concerning the railway operator’s current operational levels.
