McLaren Dominates

A dramatic Hungarian Grand Prix saw McLaren’s Lando Norris secure a victory in Budapest, with teammate Oscar Piastri delivering a thrilling chase to finish in second place. Mercedes driver George Russell rounded out the top three, completing the podium.

The race unfolded as a captivating duel between Piastri and Norris, who traded places throughout the event. Championship leader Charles Leclerc of Ferrari, despite a strong start from pole position, struggled to maintain his early advantage. Piastri demonstrated remarkable aggression until the final lap, consistently closing the gap to Norris, though ultimately unable to overtake.

Behind the leading trio, Leclerc secured fourth place, followed by Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin. Sauber’s Gabriel Bortoleto, Lance Stroll and Racing Bulls’ Liam Lawson also scored points. Max Verstappen of Red Bull managed to salvage two points for the championship standings with a ninth-place finish, while Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli earned a single point in tenth. Sauber driver Nico Hülkenberg, the sole German representative, concluded the Grand Prix in 13th position.

The Formula 1 circuit now moves on, with the next race scheduled in four weeks’ time in the Netherlands.
