The race began with a thrilling opening phase. Verstappen initially took the lead, but Antonelli quickly launched a successful counterattack. An early incident involving Lewis Hamilton and George Russell necessitated the deployment of the Safety Car. Following the restart, Antonelli successfully defended his lead, while Leclerc fought hard for second place-a position that proved insufficient for the ultimate win. Numerous battles unfolded in the midfield, intensifying the drama of the event.
Beyond the top three, Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari), Oscar Piastri (McLaren), Isack Hadjar (Red Bull), Lando Norris (McLaren), and Gabriel Bortoleto (Audi) managed to score points on Sunday. Arvid Lindblad (Racing Bulls) secured two points in ninth place, with Franco Colapinto (Alpine) earning one point in tenth place. Nico Hülkenberg, the only German driver, finished the Grand Prix in 13th position. The next fixture of the season is scheduled to take place in Hungary one week from now.
