Brazilian defender Tuta has completed a move from Eintracht Frankfurt to Qatar’s Al-Duhail SC, the Bundesliga club announced on Monday.
The transfer marks the end of a significant chapter for the player, who joined Eintracht Frankfurt from FC Sao Paulo over six and a half years ago. Following his initial arrival, Tuta spent a year on loan at Belgian club KV Kortrijk, featuring in 18 matches.
Returning to Hessen in the summer of 2020, Tuta quickly established himself as a key component of the Frankfurt squad. Across 187 appearances, he contributed ten goals and three assists. A particular highlight of his tenure was the triumph in the 2022 Europa League competition.
Eintracht Frankfurt’s Sporting Director, Markus Krösche, acknowledged Tuta’s desire for a change and emphasized his substantial contribution to the club. “Tuta has been an essential part of our team in recent years and has made a significant contribution to Eintracht’s development and success during that time. We wish him all the best on his future endeavors” Krösche stated.
