The official German album charts see continued success for Audrey Nuna, Ejae and Rei Ami, whose track “Golden” from the Netflix film “KPop Demon Hunters” maintains its leading position. This week’s charts, compiled by GfK Entertainment on behalf of the German Music Industry Association (BVMI), also highlight strong debuts and resurgences of established artists.
Making a notable entry as the highest new arrival are Nina Chuba and Makko with “Fucked Up” securing the number three spot, closely following Alex Warren’s “Ordinary” at number two.
Mono Inc. tops the album charts with their latest release, “Darkness”. Billie Eilish’s “Hit Me Hard and Soft” experiences a significant climb, moving from number 15 to number two, spurred by a special vinyl edition commemorating its one-year anniversary. The “KPop Demon Hunters” soundtrack follows closely at number three.
Several artists benefit from re-issues of older albums, re-entering the top ten. Niall Horan’s “Heartbreak Weather” Deep Purple’s “Made In Japan” and Unheilig’s “Große Freiheit” all achieve positions within the top ten. Rapper Luciano secures the sixth spot with “Banditorinho 2”. Completing the top ten are “Schlagerpiloten” with “Echte Liebesbriefe” at number eight, Conan Gray’s “Wishbone” at number nine and punk group Rise Against with “Ricochet” at number ten.
The official German charts, reflecting 90 percent of all music sales, are determined by GfK Entertainment on behalf of the BVMI.
