Caroline Wahl: From Bestselling Author to Boating License?

Bestselling author Caroline Wahl intends to refrain from making any major purchases following the release of her third novel, “The Assistant” she revealed in a recent interview with the “Rheinische Post”.

Following the success of her previous books, Wahl previously indulged in a sports car and a recreational vehicle. However, she now states she plans to avoid similar acquisitions, citing the upkeep and responsibility associated with such possessions. “I’m very content with my life as it is and I’m keen to remain living in Kiel for the foreseeable future” the 30-year-old explained.

Despite eschewing large purchases, Wahl does have plans to pursue a boating license. “Long-term, I would really like to go sailing. But I might start with a motorboat license first” she said.

Born in Mainz in 1995, Wahl studied German Studies in Tübingen and German Literature in Berlin. Her latest novel centers on a young publishing assistant whose well-being is threatened by a demanding and neurotic boss. Wahl herself previously worked in a publishing house in Zurich, where she wrote her debut novel, “22 Laps”.
