The fifth matchday of the 2. Bundesliga concluded with a 2-2 draw between SV 07 Elversberg and Dynamo Dresden.
The match began at a brisk pace, with Christoph Daferner putting the visitors ahead after just three minutes following a counter-attack. However, Younes Ebnoutalib quickly leveled the score with a free kick just six minutes later. The remainder of the first half saw chances for both sides and Dynamo Dresden regained the lead through a goal from Jakob Lemmer in the 39th minute.
After the interval, Dresden initially adopted a more passive approach, while Elversberg pushed for an equalizer. Despite defensive resilience from the visitors, Ebnoutalib secured a late, deserved goal in stoppage time, resulting in a point-sharing outcome.
The draw sees Elversberg slip to fifth place in the standings, while Dresden remains in 15th position. Elversberg will travel to Braunschweig next Saturday, while Dynamo Dresden faces a home fixture against Hannover the following day.
Elsewhere on Sunday afternoon, Preußen Münster lost 1-2 to Fortuna Düsseldorf and 1. FC Kaiserslautern secured a 0-3 victory over SpVgg Greuther Fürth.
