Actress Claudia Michelsen has expressed concern over the perceived narrowing of public discourse, suggesting a tendency to rapidly dismiss viewpoints diverging from mainstream narratives as conspiracy theories. In an interview with the “Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung” (NOZ), the 56-year-old emphasized the need for greater nuance and differentiation in evaluating various perspectives.
Michelsen noted that some theories have, retrospectively, proven to be factual, while others are clearly unfounded. However, she lamented a decline in tolerance and curiosity regarding differing viewpoints within societal debates. She voiced a wish for increased openness to considering alternative ideas and perspectives, rather than immediate rejection based on adherence to established norms.
