In the final match of the 20th round of the 2. Bundesliga, Dynamo Dresden and Arminia Bielefeld settled on a 1 - 1 draw.
Dresden opened the scoring in the first half. In the 43rd minute, a corner from Jonas Sterner was seized by Christoph Daferner, who rose higher than Arminia’s defenders and tipped the ball home. The home side held onto the slender lead until the interval, even though both teams created further chances.
The pressure shifted with the second half. Bielefeld pushed back, and in the 67th minute they levelled after a penalty. Tim Handwerker calmly slipped the spot‑kick into the right‑hand corner, following a foul on Momuluh by Alexander Rossipal inside the box. Neither side was able to break the deadlock after that.
The result lifts Dresden up to 16th place, enough to keep them clear of the drop‑out positions, while Bielefeld remains on 14th. Next weekend Bielefeld will take on Braunschweig, and Dresden has an away match against Schalke on the following day.
