Dortmund Narrowly Wins 2‑1 vs. Wolfsburg, Shrinks Bayern Gap to Three Points.

Borussia Dortmund secured a narrow but decisive 2‑1 away win at VfL Wolfsburg on matchday 21 of the Bundesliga, bringing the gap to Bayern down to just three points and putting the Bavarians under considerable pressure ahead of their Sunday clash with Hoffenheim. Dortmund opened the scoring in the 38th minute when Julian Brandt headed in a cross from Julian Ryerson, giving the visitors the lead before the break. Wolfsburg fought back after the interval, and in the 52nd minute Konstantinos Koulierakis put the home side level with a goal that came after a series of pressing moves and the exploitation of an opportunity. Dortmund, however, stayed dangerous and in the 87th minute Serhou Guirassy restored the lead for the visitors. After a quick pass from Fábio Silva into the box, Guirassy curled a left‑footed shot into the corner, sealing the 2‑1 victory for Dortmund. Other results from the afternoon were Freiburg 1-0 Bremen; St. Pauli 2-1 Stuttgart; Mainz 2-0 Augsburg; and Heidenheim 0-2 Hamburg.
