Hannover 96 secured a 3-2 win over Hertha BSC on matchday 22 of the 2. Bundesliga.
Boris Tomiak opened the scoring in the 8th minute after turning in a cross from Leopold.
Benjamin Källman doubled the advantage at 29′ and Noah Weißhaupt pulled a third hero for the home side at 71′.
Hertha clawed back, first with a penalty from Fabian Reese in the 53rd minute, then with a late strike from Julian Eitschberger in stoppage time to narrow the deficit.
Later in Braunschweig, Eintracht Braunschweig faced SV Darmstadt 98 in a match that finished 2-2.
Mehmet Aydin’s penalty at 41′ gave Braunschweig a 1-0 lead, and Johan Gomez extended it to 2-0 just before half‑time.
Darmstadt fought back, with Matej Maglica scoring twice – in the 56th and 78th minutes – to level the score.
Meanwhile, 1 FC Kaiserslautern edged SpVgg Greuther Fürth 1-0 at home.
Semih Sahin capped it with a headed goal from a corner in the 10th minute.
Both sides created several chances, but neither took advantage beyond that initial finish, leaving the result unchanged.
