Starting on 1 July 2026, the salaries of all 630 members of the German Bundestag will rise noticeably. According to the “Bild” Saturday edition, wages will increase by 4.2 %, amounting to an extra €497 per month. The figures come from new data on wage developments released by the Federal Statistical Office.
For the parliamentarians this means their taxable pay, previously €11,833.47 per month, will climb to roughly €12,330 from mid‑year. This marks the third significant raise since 2022: the previous year’s increase was 5.4 %, and in 2023 the increase stood at 6 %.
