Iran has announced that it plans to target U.S. and Israeli officials and military commanders even if they are on vacation at popular tourist destinations. A spokesperson for the Iranian Armed Forces made the statement on Friday during a broadcast on state television. He specifically mentioned officials, commanders, pilots, and what he called “malevolent soldiers”. The spokesperson warned that “from now on, promenades, holiday spots, and tourism and entertainment centers worldwide will no longer be safe for you, based on the information we have about you”.
This threat came after the burial of Iranian intelligence minister Esmail Khatib, who was killed by Israel, and his family in Tehran.
